7 REASONS WHY YOU MISSED YOUR PERIODS GIRLS..!!






There are many reasons for late , early or missed periods.

 

Though pregnancy is one of the most common reasons for missing your periods , it is still not the only one.

1.) EXCESSIVE EXCERCISE :  Excess of everything is bad.Working out is good for your health but you should not overdo it just to lose a few kilos.

 

Also dieting accompanied with extensive excercises leads to decreased production of estrogen which distrupts the menstrual cycle. Most of the female athlets who train high intensity workouts have low estrogen levels. They deal with irregular periods which results in decreased physical performance.

 

 

 

2.)HORMONAL IMBALANCE: This is the most common reason for missed or delayed periods.PCOS i.e. POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME is a condition which leads to imbalanced hormones forming cysts on the ovaries and thus distrupting ovulation which in turn hampers the fertility as well as the cardiac function.

 

 If you are regularly getting late periods get your blood tests done to check your hormone levels and see whether PCOS is the reason behind it.

 

 

3.)THYROID BALANCE: Any sort of thyroid imbalance can cause implications for periods.If you have hyperthyroid your periods become less frequent and lighter leading to sweating , increased weight loss.

 

 If you face hypothyroid your periods will become less frequent again but heavier dry skin and excessive hair loss , fatigue and weight gain. So if you find these symptoms in yourself don't ignore.

 

 

4.)PERIMENOPAUSE: This is also known as PREMATURE MENOPAUSE. it comes when a women under the age of 40 gradually makes less estrogen & hence experiences menopausal symptoms before turning 50 namely heavier or lighter periods , irregular periods , hot flashes , vaginal dryness , mood swings , and night sweats.

 

 

5.)BIRTH CONTROL PILLS:These contraceptives prevent ovulation which eventually leads to no periods for SOME time.

 

 

6.)STRESS: Stress can cause hypothalamic amenorrhea i.e. hypothalamus induced period loss.Hypothalamus in brain regulates hormones which gets affected by stress and anxiety usually after a big fight , major heartbreak or may be an overdemanding boss at the office could be a reason for no or missed periods.So don't panic much.

 

 

7.)WEIGHT: If you are enderweight or even overweight you can deal with irregular periods.This is again because of hypothalamus . When you are underweight or having low caloric intake your body doesn't produce enough estrogen which in turn causes less or no periods.

 

Some eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia  can also miss periods because of excessive estrogen leading to excssive periods.One can only normalise periods  by gaining weight if underweight or losing weight if overweight.
